A whole family of ducks have stolen our hearts. As soon as either Doug or myself step out our camper we have the whole lot waggle our way descending on us like a platoon of soldiers.
We headed back to Nelson today as the plan is to go south tomorrow. Today has been work day – Doug had to catch up and I had to do washing. (can’t avoid domesticity!)We’re back in our favourite camp by the beach though the weather is really crappy – windy with the odd downpour.
One month ago we got married. Wow… how the time flies. We have another ten days on the South Island before we catch our flight to Sydney. Dinner is a treat at the Boatshed tonight- a well known and recommended wooden affair that sits right on the water’s edge on wooden pillars. (see below) I hope to sample some green-lipped New Zealand mussels. They apparently offer what is called an “Aotearoa” menu, showcasing Kiwi cuisine.
